Diwali 17 October 2009
Pinkie acted as Mother to perform the Puja, or Blessing and
everyone gathered around.
She did a wonderful job, asking for blessing for us all, then going
around to put a Tikka or Holy Mark on everyone's forehead.
She is growing up fast into a thoughtful and responsible young
lady, loves her new school [through the generosity of Friends she
is now attending a local private school- her studious dedication
is making everyone proud and she is really enjoying it as well
First the ceremonies
then the fun part!!
snacks and sweets
a time to share the generosity and
sweetness of life.
We made sure there were big
boxes of sweets and the children
had one for you as well!!
Many of you who have visited will remeber Surendra, he is Ramsingh's right hand man and makes life so much easier for us when it comes to the paperwork side of things. If you think of him, most of you will think very quiet and shy- he was a great behind the scenes help but did little with the children and rarely spoke- look at these shots. He has really come out of his shell with the children, still a man of few words but right in there for school work and now games!!
